The 'Epistres d'Ovide', translated by Octovien de Saint-Gelais and illustrated by the Master of the Chronique Scandaleuse for Queen Anne de Bretagne, contains five translated poems from Ovid concerning women of myth and legend who have been left by their heroic lovers.
