Dr. Ina Nettekoven

Freelance researcher, specialist in medieval manuscripts and incunables

Ina Nettekoven is an art historian specialising in illuminated manuscripts and early illustrated printed books. Much of her research is focused on the media shift caused by Gutenberg and his revolutionary invention and on the ensuing reaction of manuscript production (Ph.D., Free University Berlin). She has worked in the manuscript art market since 1999. With the team at Dr. Jörn Günther Rare Books, she works as a freelancer, describing manuscripts, miniatures, incunables, and illustrated prints.
