During December, we were delighted to host the Oxbridge Basel and Zurich Club respectively, for a special tour of our Christmas Exhibition. Our Managing Director and resident manuscript expert, Dr. Sara Öberg Strådal provided a tailored tour for our guests, taking the delighted audience on a journey into the fascinating world of medieval manuscripts and early printed books from the 11th to the 16th century.

Glistening Books of Hours resting on soft velvet pillows, invited the viewer to marvel at their incredibly minute details, establishing a fascinating continuity from their historic owners until today. The exhibition brought together Book of Hours from different time periods and regions, such as the exceedingly rare Gralla Book of Hours, from Barcelona, or the Utenbroec Book of Hours from Brabant, highlighting the skill of prolific artists from these regions. Participants enjoyed, learned, and discovered, together with Sara, a new side of history and history of art, and gained unparalleled insights into the fascinating life of manuscripts. It was an immense pleasure to host the Oxbridge Club Basel and Zurich and we hope to welcome you again next year.
