The present printed book is a German translation of a treatise by the Franco-Flemish historiographer Guillaume Caoursin, who was vice-chancellor of the Order of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem (Knights Hospitallers). Within, he tells the story of the Ottoman siege of Rhodes. This edition is extremely rare, since no other copy has been on the market for the past forty years. Full title: 'Der vermaledigsten unfromen Türggen anschleg unnd fürnemen wider die heilgen Cristenheit'.
