The present highly controversial comedy 'Von der Erschrocklichen Zurstörung und Niderlag des gantzen Bapstumbs' ('On the Terrible Destruction and Decline of the Entire Papacy)' staged a last judgement, in which 'Salvator' sent the Pope and other potentates to perdition. The publication had unpleasant consequences for the printer and the illustrator, who were both imprisoned.
